We are pleased to announce that business litigator Eli Segal has joined our growing litigation boutique. Segal joins us from Troutman Pepper, where he was a partner and had worked for 13 years.
Segal said, “For clients, this boutique platform offers unmatched flexibility. The attorneys here are universally excellent, doing truly sophisticated trial and appellate work. They started something really special with this boutique, and I want to be part of building it. After 13 incredible years at Troutman Pepper, I am excited to join them.”
Segal graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School cum laude in 2007 where he was an Executive Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review and earned his BA, cum laude, from Yale University in 2001. He previously clerked for the Honorable Marjorie O. Rendell of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Also joining the firm is Tara Amenhauser as the firm’s administrator and senior paralegal. Segal and Amenhauser are the latest additions to the litigation boutique, which opened its doors on July 1, 2020, in Philadelphia and New Jersey. The firm’s primary focus is complex commercial litigation. However, all attorneys are litigation generalists, adept at handling diverse subject matters and forums.
In March 2021, business litigator Jon L. Cochran also joined the firm as a partner. Cochran most recently was a shareholder at Hangley Aronchick Segal Pudlin & Schiller. He graduated from Yale Law School in 2010, where he was the Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Yale Human Rights and Development Law Journal. Cochran earned his BA summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Washington and Lee University. Cochran previously clerked for the Honorable Dolores Sloviter of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and for the Honorable Jan E. DuBois, United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Cochran added, “I came to this firm for the sophisticated work and its core values. It’s as exciting now as it was when I joined last March. I have worked closely with Eli in litigation. He’s an outstanding lawyer and tremendous person and will deepen and broaden what we offer to all of our clients.”
