Multiple LSSC attorneys appear in the 2022 Super Lawyers and Rising Stars publications.
Peter (Tad) LeVan, Jr. and John S. Stapleton are listed in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Super Lawyers lists, respectively. And Jon L. Cochran is listed in the Pennsylvania Rising Stars list.
According to Super Lawyers, its selection process comprises hundreds of thousands of statewide or regional surveys supplemented by a comprehensive examination of each nominee’s background and experience, focusing on such criteria as verdicts and settlements, transactions, representative clients, honors and awards, educational background, and any other outstanding achievements. 5 percent of the total lawyers in the state are selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers.
The selection process for the Rising Stars list is the same as the Super Lawyers selection process, with one exception: to be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less. All attorneys first go through the Super Lawyers selection process. Those who are not selected to the Super Lawyers list, but who meet either one of the Rising Stars eligibility requirements, go through the Rising Stars selection process. While up to five percent of the lawyers in the state are named to Super Lawyers, no more than 2.5 percent are named to the Rising Stars list.
No aspect of this has been approved by the Supreme Court of New Jersey or the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
